Affordable Groceries with a Sustainable Impact
The E2 Food Pantry is a community-driven project tackling food waste and helping households cut costs on their weekly shopping. Unlike traditional food banks, our Food Pantry is a membership-based service designed to prevent good food from ending up in landfill, while giving you access to high-quality groceries at a fraction of retail prices.
Launched as a pilot in 2019, the initiative was paused during the global Covid-19 pandemic but has now restarted, stronger than ever.
What Makes the Food Pantry Different?
- Reducing Food Waste: Perfectly good food that would otherwise be discarded is repurposed and made available to members.
- Cost Savings: Members can significantly reduce their grocery bills while supporting sustainable practices.
- Membership Model: Unlike E2’s other services, the Food Pantry operates on a weekly membership fee to cover operational costs.
Membership Details
- Weekly Fee: £5 for in-person collection or £9 for delivery (delivery available in Beaumont and Abbey wards only).
- How It Works: Members pay the fee and gain access to a range of food and household essentials.
